Strengthening of 93m RCC Chimney

Severe deterioration was observed in the Chimney concrete due to the severe exposure conditions. Complete chimney retrofitting was carried out to the full height by positioning the vertical pipes and confining it with External Post Tensioning strands and then shotcreting the entire surface. With utmost safety precautions, this critical job was completed without any accidents/near miss cases.
